Our Listening Notes

We are a small, independent team in Manchester who think the soundtrack of an ordinary Tuesday deserves as much care as a concert.

What we write about

Music moods for daily tasks, rooms that shape sound, headphones that suit real routes and gentle ways to discover new music. We start from recognisable moments rather than genres, because that is how most people actually listen.

How we work

We test ideas in our own kitchens, buses and living rooms, read published research and guidance such as the WHO's safe listening materials, and note clearly where evidence is mixed. We never claim one mood or method fits everyone.

Independence

We do not accept paid placements, affiliate commissions or free products in exchange for coverage. Scenetonicbulletinree is not affiliated with any audio brand, record label or streaming service.

No gatekeeping

Every listener is welcome here, whether you play the same five songs on repeat or chase obscure pressings. Enjoyment is not a competition, and curiosity does not need credentials.

Corrections and suggestions
